About the Role
Haupcar is a car-sharing and mobility platform in Bangkok, and AI is becoming a core part of how we serve renters and car owners. We're looking for an AI Engineer to join our product and engineering team and help us build real AI features that go live with real users.
You'll work on things like our LINE AI assistant, smarter search and recommendations, and tools that help our operations team work faster. This isn't a research-only role. You'll prototype quickly, ship small improvements every week, and see how your work changes the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
Build and improve AI features in our product, such as our LINE chatbot for booking support, intent detection, and automated replies
Design, test, and refine prompts and workflows using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or similar)
Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines that connect AI to our booking, vehicle, and FAQ data
Integrate AI services into our backend through APIs and work with engineers to deploy them to production
Prepare, clean, and analyze data for AI and ML use cases, including BigQuery and Google Cloud tools
Set up simple evaluations to measure accuracy, response quality, latency, and cost, and use the results to improve features
Build quick prototypes and internal tools to test new AI ideas with the product team
Monitor live AI features, investigate issues, and suggest fixes
Document your work clearly so others can maintain and build on it
Skills and Qualifications
Currently studying or recently graduated in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a related field
Good programming skills in Python, JavaScript
Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and how large language models work
Hands-on experience with at least one LLM API or AI framework, through coursework, or personal projects
Comfortable working with REST APIs, JSON, and Git
Basic SQL knowledge
Good communication in English and Thai
Curious, proactive, and happy to learn by building
Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar tools for building AI apps
Knowledge of vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Chroma, etc.) and embeddings
Experience with Google Cloud (Vertex AI, BigQuery) or another cloud platform
Familiarity with Node.js, FastAPI, or other backend frameworks
Experience building chatbots, especially on LINE or other messaging platforms
Interest in mobility, travel, or marketplace products
A GitHub profile or portfolio showing AI projects you've built
