About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate and control the daily movement and positioning of HAUP’s carsharing and rental fleet. In this role, you will be the central operational hub—assigning relocation jobs to field drivers/jockeys, optimizing vehicle distribution across HAUP stations based on user demand, tracking real-time delivery status, and resolving route or schedule bottlenecks to maintain maximum fleet availability.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Movement & Route Dispatching: Plan, schedule, and assign daily vehicle relocation tasks to field drivers/jockeys to balance fleet inventory across HAUP stations, airport hubs, and maintenance centers.
Driver Coordination & Monitoring: Track field drivers' real-time locations, manage job assignments via operational apps/tools, and ensure timely vehicle drop-offs, pick-ups, and station returns.
Demand & Inventory Balancing: Analyze real-time station demand, booking trends, and peak usage hours to dispatch vehicles proactively where users need them most.
Incident & Real-time Problem Solving: Act as the primary dispatcher during unexpected delays, traffic jams, vehicle breakdowns, or emergency relocation requests, adjusting routes and re-assigning drivers instantly.
Operational Log & Data Entry: Maintain accurate daily logs of dispatched tasks, mileage, fuel/charging levels upon transfer, driver performance, and relocation completion rates.
Cross-functional Communication: Work closely with Fleet Operations Officers, Customer Support, and Maintenance teams to ensure cars dispatched for service, washing, or user bookings are delivered safely and on schedule.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Vocational Certificate, or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a Dispatcher, Fleet Coordinator, Logistics Controller, or Operations Staff (experience in car rentals, ride-hailing, delivery platforms, or fleet management is highly preferred).
Skills: Excellent geographic knowledge of Bangkok and Metropolitan roads and transit shortcuts. Proficiency in operational tracking software, GPS/fleet tracking tools, and messaging apps. Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize under pressure, and manage field personnel clearly and calmly.
Languages: Native/fluent Thai communication skills; basic working knowledge of English is an advantage.
Attributes: Decisive, punctual, clear communicator, service-minded, and highly adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Other: Possession of a valid driver’s license is required; willingness to work in shift schedules (if applicable) is preferred.
