About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on, safety-conscious EV Charger Installation & Decommissioning Technician to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for field site surveys, wiring, installation, testing, and decommissioning/relocation of EV charging stations (AC & DC Fast Chargers) across HAUP stations, property partner sites, and fleet hubs. You will play a vital role in expanding and maintaining HAUP’s smart EV charging infrastructure safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Site Survey & Electrical Preparation: Conduct technical site surveys, inspect power distribution panels, assess electrical capacities, and plan cable routing for new EV charging station installations.
Charger Installation & Wiring: Perform physical installation, mounting, electrical wiring, breaker/protection device connection, and earthing/grounding for AC and DC EV chargers according to safety standards and engineering guidelines.
Decommissioning & Relocation: Safely dismantle, disconnect, remove, and pack EV chargers, breakers, and electrical hardware from existing stations for site closure, upgrade, or relocation to new stations.
System Testing & Commissioning: Conduct post-installation testing, safety voltage/grounding checks, connectivity configuration (OCPP/Wi-Fi/LAN), and charging simulations before handing over to operational teams.
Troubleshooting & Field Maintenance: Diagnose and repair electrical faults, tripping breakers, cable damages, connector wear, or connectivity issues on deployed EV chargers.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to national electrical codes, high-voltage safety protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and company safety standards during all field operations.
